Our problem statement was "Being new to Canada and unfamiliar with English, I don't have access to the proper people or services to help me setup my new life". With this in mind, we created an app, called Transition, that is a  community based approach focused on delivering targeted educational resources to users, as well as relief for social isolation among smaller ethnic communities.  Our app helps users plan their future in Canada, Information related to financial education, literacy and sustainability, and reinforces positive social interactions and reduces the feeling of social isolation to refugees.
